Shun in 'SpongeBob'!
Oguri Shun has performed the voice dubbing for Japanese edition of 10th Anniversary feature programs of the American kids animation 'SpongeBob'. Shun is dubbing the voice of Jack Kahuna Laguna, the surfer which is originally voiced by the legendary actor Johnny Depp.
In a recent interview with Shun at the recording studio in Tokyo, he has expressed his contentment by saying “It’s an honor” and “satisfaction”. “When I got the time, I would like to study abroad”, said Shun. He seems to have high interest for career advancement overseas.
The Japanese edition will be broadcasted in conjunction with SpongeBob's 10th Anniversary which featured the American J Depp of Japan ‘Oguri Shun’ who is on a par with Hollywood actor. “This kick-off is such an honor “ Shun replied with a wry smile. He also added “ Johnny Depp is my favourite actor and he represents a unique world class actor. It will be awesome if in the future there is a modest possibility to co-star in Hollywood.” He seems genuinely rejoice in his latest performance.
“I have learnt English for the past 2, 3 years but now I don’t have much time to proceed” said Shun with a wry smile. “If I ever got the time someday, I was thinking of studying abroad. It sounds like a joke and I can’t even reveal the prospect in regards to career advancement to Hollywood in case there is an opportunity for me” he answered immediately.
“The scale is huge and it is enormously interesting if I would be able to be part of it.” said a man with strong longing for expanding his career overseas.
The Sponge Bob will be broadcasted on May 6, 2009 on NHK Educational TV.
