Shun's message on the CZII ameblo blog:

小栗です。

クローズZEROII』はIの10倍加速してます!

これから先、あんな不良映画は生まれないと思う。
そしてオレも、こういう不良ものを卒業しなきゃいけない年だし。

ケジメの作品に『クローズZEROII』が出来たのは本当に幸せだと思う。
さらに言えば、これは「不良映画」という枠をこえた「男の映画」です。

胸を張って観てもらえる、最高の青春映画ができました!

This is Oguri!

Crows Zero II is 10 times more awesome than the original! I dont think anyone can make a more "punkish" movie than this. I think ive reached the point where I cant play this kind of role anymore.

Im glad to have had a part in this movie. While it may be classified as a "punks" movie, I would like to think of it more as a "man's movie".

Id be so glad if everyone could go out and see it, this awesome coming of age story that we made!

Tenchijin ratings update

an update on the ratings for Shun's Tenchijin drama...

Ep 1: 24.7%
Ep 2: 23.5%
Ep 3: 24.7%
Ep 4: 26.0% ------> currently still the highest rating
Ep 5: 24.2%
Ep 6: 24.4%
Ep 7: 23.2%
Ep 8: 23.1%
Ep 9: 20.3%
Ep 10: 22.2%
Ep 11: 22.8%
Ep 12: 21.7%
Ep 13: 17.8% -------> currently the lowest rating

quite a big drop in ratings from last week...I hope it recovers for next week..but on the positive side of things, 17.8% is still a great rating, and among all the dramas which are currently airing, Tenchijin remains as the highest-rated drama by far.

Shun on Karakuri

Shun appeared unexpectedly on Sanma san no Karakuri on march 15.

here's a summary on what happened courtesy of franniewei @ Asianfanatics:
this is Shun's special appearance in Sanma san no Karakuri show on March 15, 2009. Shun appeared in the GTO part of Karakuri program. GTO is hosted by Shimoji sensei who gives advises to people who came for counselling or consultation about their problems. Shun's guesting in GTO is a surprise for Shimoji sensei who is a big fan of him. The first person whom Shimoji sensei talked to was a 19 year old guy who had a difficulty with interacting to other people. When their conversation ended, Shimoji sensei called the next "soudansha"(one asking for advice) and Shun entered the room after introducing himself. Shimoji sensei was shocked to see him in his room and was like "ehhh...what is this? what do you mean by this? why is SHun-kun here?". Shimoji sensei was like a teenage girl who had a face-to-face encounter with her crush. Then the reporter explained that the other time when Shun was interviewed in KArakuri, he was asked by the staff if he has something to ask for advice from Shimoji sensei that's why he came to the show.
I can't recall the other things they were talking but the thing Shun asked for advice from Shimoji sensei is how can he keep the motivation he has to continue doing his work. Shimoji sensei said that Shun must be extremely happy coz he is doing the thing he loves doing the most...acting. Shun admitted that his first love is acting on stage and he is happy to be back on stage (for Musashi) after quite a long time.
At the end of the consultation Shun gave a present to Shimoji sensei wrapped in a box ( a necktie which he personally chose). Shimoji sensei said that he will not open the box until he gets home so he let Shun left his present on his desk.
