Regarding Shun's 2nd new upcoming movie Tajomaru, here's a clip on the set of the movie:
seems like it's going to be another samurai/ninja movie, I'm really looking forward to it! I love Shun in these kind of movies, especially after watching the Azumi films he co-starred with Ueto Aya!

Finally some new updates on Shun-kun! He is going to have a new movie titled Tajomaru which is scheduled for next fall!

Oguri's next movie: "Tajomaru" [Dec 28, 2008]:
Shun Oguri will star in an upcoming jidaigeki movie titled "TAJOMARU," directed by Hiroyuki Nakano. The movie is based on the short story "Yabu no Naka" ("In A Grove") by author Ryunosuke Akutagawa, which has already been used as the basis for several films, including Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon." However, the story will be almost entirely different from the original, other than the inclusion of the character Tajomaru (played by Oguri).
For the role, Oguri practiced horse riding every day for a month since filming started in November. He has also been training in sword fighting with co-star Hiroki Matsukata.
The rest of the cast includes Kenichi Hagiwara and Yuki Shibamoto. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters next fall.

I'm really looking forward to this...he has a lot of projects coming out next year; 2 movies (Tajomaru & the much anticipated Crows Zero II), 1 taiga drama (Tenchijin), and a stage play with Fujiwara Tatsuya (Musashi)...these are only just the projects confirmed, there could be more we still don't know about...and not to mention his weekly ANN radio program airing every Wednesdays, and his yearly endorsements.

Jounetsu Tairiku x Oguri Shun!

Jounetsu Tairiku - a TBS program following famous people to document their job and lives - last year spent half a year on going after Oguri, capturing his work, daily life as well as his thoughts about love, friendship and acting.
And, for the first time ever in the show's history, Jonetsu Tairiku dedicated two episodes of coverage to Oguri Shun, and this special two-parter is now available on the Jonetsu Tairiku x Shun Oguri DVD release.
What is so special about Shun's Jounetsu Tairiku that it has such "first-time" things? Watch it and you will see a very "different" Shun. Not a hot actor with stylished hairstyles and clothes anymore. All you can see is a young man who starts his day very early in the morning and never ends it before midnight. He shuffles here and there, from this set to another set with the same speed and passion, despite his exhausting body and mind.
He's sullen. He cries. He's scared. He has desires for love. Just like any other people.
Two stageplays, one drama, one special drama and one movie. Not to mention lots of CMs, photoshoots for countless fashion and entertainment magazines, and a midnight radio show on every Wednesday. These are too much for Shun to complete in 200 days, but, somehow he made it.
Watch it and you will know why Shun is so special and attractive with his own personalities, not his attractive roles only.

Watching this video really opened up my eyes, seeing with my own 2 eyes just how hectic Shun's schedule is, yet he is so hard-working and dedicated to is work and his fans, knowing just how much he had to sacrifice for his fans in order to bring entertainment to us. As a loyal fan, I was quite heartbroken to see him sacrifice so much yet so touched by his dedication and hard-working nature, because of this video, I learned to love and appreciate him even more, and all the effort he has put into his work. And if you watch this video, then you would feel the same way. I highly recommend ALL fans of Shun to watch this video.

Gomen, I have no updates on Shun at the moment, he's very busy now, so there's no news, he has also taken a break from hosting ANN and will return to the program next year...but I'll do some more searching tomorrow, see if I can fish out anything on him!

Merry Xmas minna!!! 
Yes, it's finally Xmas! and we're counting down the end of 2008!
But is not just another holiday season, our prince Shun-kun's birthday is coming up TOMORROW!!
I know I haven't mentioned to you guys before, and I should've much earlier...but if you want to send a b'day message to Shun, there's still time! And don't worry about the language problem, there are staff members at his ANN studio who are able to translate your messages for him!

download Shun's part of this program only, it includes a clip of him while he was in Siberia when he was 18, he almost cried when the Siberian family he stayed with said they missed him, it's true what they say about Shun-kun being a big softy with a gentle heart
