Inoue Mao on All Night Nippon!

Here's a translated ep of Shun's radio program 'All Night Nippon' when Mao-chan went on the show to promote HYD2 on the 3rd of January 2007:

At first the casts of Hana Yori Dango; Matsumoto Jun, Inoue Mao, Shota and Abe gave a message to Shun. Jun said that recently Shun seems like a real "talent" doing various things, challenging himself doing different things. And they congratulated Shun for his radio program on All Night Nippon. They wished Shun "ganbatte" (which literally means "work hard").

Shun on the other hand said that he was surprised to hear such message from his co-stars in HYD. He realized that it's been a year since they started the drama. Just like what Jun said that he's been doing different things recently, he's doing various things to find out where he really fit well.

Shun was still talking about HYD2 when Mao-chan enters the radio booth. Shun was really surprised to see Mao. He thought Mao was writing her report (i assume he refers to Mao's school reports). Mao said that she has come to help Shun promote HYD2. For Shun's sake she hurriedly came to the studio even if she hasn't finished writing her report yet. Mao introduced herself as 'Makino Tsukushi' of HYD when Shun asked her to introduce herself. Mao asked if Shun is happy that she came to the studio and Shun said of course. But Mao said his face doesn't show that he's glad. Then Shun realized that it will be three days before Mao turns 20 years old. Mao said that usually, if she has no work she would be asleep by that time (around 2am). It was Mao-chan's first time to guest in a radio show. Shun asked what do they usually talk about when they're together. Mao couldn't think of anything to say. Shun recalled that during their shooting of HYD, Mao-chan is always studying on location. He said that Abe-kun and Shota-kun have been helpful during those times. Shota-kun served as her English teacher while Abe-kun as her Chinese teacher. The other two (Shun and Jun) have not been helpful at all in her studies.

The next portion Shun reads mails from listeners who wants to ask something from Mao-chan. The first question asks when did Mao and Shun first meet and what was her first impression of Shun. Shun and Mao first met on the set of the hit medical drama Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji 3 before they worked together in Hana Yori Dango. (i didn't exactly get Mao's answer on her first impression about Shun but from what i understood, she said that although they worked together in 'Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji 3', she never had a picture taken together with Shun. she did not realized then that Shun would become a "big" actor in the future). There was also a question about NG scenes in HYD2. Mao said that she barely remembers NG scenes with Jun and Shun. The last question was Mao's recommended movie. But Mao said that recently she hasn't watched any movie at all because all she do is face her computer and write her report. (kawaiso Mao-chan ne). But she wanted to watch "Wankoza Movie" if she has time.

It's true that ShunMao first met on the set of Kyumei Byoto 24 Ji 3 in 2005 (although it was filmed in 2004), Shun-kun played a big part in the drama, his character was a medical student & hospital volunteer, while Mao-chan was a patient..but they barely crossed paths in the drama, and Mao-chan was only in the first 4 eps...so I would think they didn't have much chance to properly know each other back then...I think it was right before they "reunited" in HYDso Mao-chan has known Shun longer than the other 3 guys.
And it was sweet of Mao-chan to hold her studies just so she could come and support Shun!

Oguri Shun Promoting Cirque du Soleil's 'Corteo' [21/10/08]:



A press conference to promote Corteo, the latest production from the Canadian performance troupe Cirque du Soleil, was held at Fuji TV in Odaiba on the 20th of October. Ogura Tomoaki (61) and Oguri Shun (25) were among the supporters. "All you gentlemen my age, watch Corteo on your date !" Oguri called out, making his appeal.

Corteo, which is an Italian word, was first performed in April 2005. The main character is a clown who looks back on his life. Dreams and reality intertwine and a wondrous world unfolds.

There's a little extract from a mag interview back in June this year with the Hana Yori Dango cast.

"If Shun-kun is an animal what he will be?"

INOUE MAO: He is curious, and has unrestrained feeling like a cat. At the location, he suddenly appears out of nowhere and listens to stories.
MATSUMOTO JUN: Orca whale. It's smart and cute but surprisingly harsh?
MATSUDA SHOTA: Cheetah. Although he is a person easily elated, he is passionate and manly. He takes game quickly.
TONTON (ABE TSUYOSHI): Peacock. They usually wander around aimlessly, but as soon as he spreads its wings, it becomes incredible in big existence. There is a huge gap between those.
SHUN: Cat that is yearning to wolf. I want to become a lone wolf, but can't. Don't like being alone (Laugh)

It's interesting about some of the animals they said he would be...I agree with Mao-chan's choice of the cat, sometimes Shun-kun does seem to suddenly appear out of no where...and Abe's choice of the peacock, it's true how at times Shun-kun would just quietly wonder around but once he opens up and reveals his outgoing side, he makes a big impression and suddenly the atmosphere just lightens up with his high spiritjust like when a peacock spreads out its wonderful feathers, its spirit suddenly becomes alive and catches the attention of the people around it

it's the scene when Mizuki falls asleep on Sano's bed and he had to sleep on the floor, he turns into Nakatsu in this scene! Very cute! It also includes the part when Sano's mind sings 'love me tender' to himself! I also love the part when Mizuki falls off his bed and into his arms, very cute scene!
The only downside is that there's no english subs, so I can't understand what they're saying!

'Hana Kimi' sp live streaming!

I posted up the download links for the raw version of the Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (aka 'Hana Kimi') special, now the live streaming is available too...annelise-arisa at Asianfanatics was kind enough to post the link, here it is:
