Ikuta Toma and Oguri Shun Threw Beans Together!
2010 / 02 / 10 ( Wed ) Hontou ni gomen! I haven't updated these past few days...I had problems with my computer & only got it back from the repair shop today!
Ikuta Toma and Oguri Shun Threw Beans Together! [8/2/2010]: Ikuta Toma appeared on Oguri Shun's radio program "Oguri Shun All Night Japan/小栗旬のオールナイトニッポン" as guest on February 3rd. Ikuta Toma just revealed episodes of the movie "Ningen Shikkaku" in NHK documentary TV program "Jonetsu Tairiku/情熱大陸" the other day. February 3rd is "Setsubun/節分". Usually it's the day before the beginning of spring. There is a tradition that people throw beans inside and out side the home while saying "Oni wa Soto! Fuku wa Uchi!(鬼は外!福は内! lit. Ogre get out! Luck come in!)" On this day, they had a special plan of beans-throwing and called someone for "luck". Actually, Oguri and Ikuta threw the beans on the program, Ikuta: "Only two of us had a very exciting time (laugh). There were beans everywhere, and we had to clean it up before we went home. It was quite a lot. There were even beans in the shoes and stuck on our pants. I had Oguri cooked them. That's all." source: music japan plus Awww! I really miss the Shun+Toma tandem! Hope to see more of this duo! |

[news] HuNan TV hopeful to gather The 4 Hanazawa Rui (Hua Zhe Lei) for CNY!
2010 / 01 / 15 ( Fri ) Big news! Apparently there's a report that popular Chinese TV network Hunan TV is attempting to invite ALL 4 actors who played 'Hanazawa Rui' from the Japanese, Taiwan, China (mainland) & Korean versions of Hana Yori Dango for a gathering on the 7th (in February I presume)! And yep, our very own Shun-kun is also included as the Japanese 'Hanazawa Rui'!
here's the report: http://asianfanatics.net/forum/topic/707130-hunan-tv-hopeful-to-gather-the-4-hanazawa-rui-hua-zhe-lei-for-cny Now, according to the report, at the moment, Hunan TV is still in contacts with the 4 actors & there's still no official announcement on who exactly will attend this gathering. Out of all the 4 guys, I think Shun-kun is the hardest to get...because he doesn't have much interest in attending foreign functions, the only times he has ever formally attended a function in a foreign country are mainly when he promotes his dramas & movies there. And I doubt he has any interest in breaking into the Chinese or Korean industry...if he does, then he would've done it a long time ago. So yes, chances of Shun-kun attending is very low, I have doubts of him being interested in it anyway. For many other fans, I'm sure this would be exciting...but I'm personally not particularly thrilled about it...the only one I'm personally interested in among the 4 is Shun! But since he's the least likely to attend & it's quite doubtful if he's even interested in this anyway...there's really no reason for me to get excited about this. But I most certainly would be on cloud 9 if he does turn up at this gathering, and I DO hope Shun-kun does decide to accept the invitation! But it's not very likely to happen...so at the moment, this seems more like wishful thinking than anything else. |
[news] Oguri's "Surely Someday" to open Yubari film festival
2010 / 01 / 14 ( Thu ) Oguri's "Surely Someday" to open Yubari film festival [13/1/2010]:
"Surely Someday," the directorial debut of popular actor Shun Oguri (27), has been chosen as the opener of the Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival. The festival, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, announced the news on Wednesday, along with other details about the festival's program. The festival is being held from February 25 to March 1 in Yubari, Hokkaido. The screening of "Surely Someday" will be its world premiere, as the film opens in Japan on July 17. The coming-of-age movie stars Keisuke Koide, Ryo Katsuji, Go Ayano, Ryohei Suzuki, Tsuyoshi Muro, and Manami Konishi. Coincidentally, Oguri starred in Takashi Miike's "Crows ZERO II," which opened the festival last year. The digital remaster of Yoji Yamada's 1977 masterpiece "The Yellow Handkerchief" will make its world premiere, and the 2008 American remake of that film will get its Japan premiere. The closing film of the festival will be Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes," starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Other films in the lineup are "Bushido Sixteen," "Kokou no Mesu," and "Sweet Little Lies." Foreign works include "Green Zone," "The Hurt Locker," and "The Princess and the Frog." Including short films, a total of 69 works will be screened. More information will be available soon on the festival website. credits: Tokyograph |
The women in 'Surely Someday' revealed!
2010 / 01 / 13 ( Wed ) Long ago, we've already known who the male casts of Shun-kun's directorial movie are...while the female casts have always been mere speculations...but now it seems the female casts for Shun's movie 'Surely Someday' is finally confirmed!
The main female character will be played by Manami Konishi...but Shun's good friends Inoue Mao & Ueto Aya will both also have smaller roles in the movie! As well as Hinobu Otake & Hara Hideko. Yatta! I'm so happy since I've always hoped that Mao-chan will work with Shun again after the HYD movie! And I'm glad that it will be for this movie! Although it would been even better if Shun-kun himself also plays the lead male while Mao-chan plays the female lead! I'm a avid SHUMAO fan! I've always loved their great chemistry! But it's fine, just knowing the fact that they're working together again is still good enough for me! Now there's all the more reasons for me to watch the movie! The movie might also premier in Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival in february. source: nikkan sports also credit: cris01 @ Shun's LJ |
