Tokyo Dogs ep 6 aired on Monday night attracted average rating of 14.7%; it dropped again from last week...it seems ratings for the drama is quite unpredictable...1 week it drops, then rises again the following week...hope next week the ratings will be better again.

Shun has appeared in some new polls!
if I read the poll correctly, Goo has posted their results for their poll asking people which celebrities (both male & female) they want to be hugged from behind...it's yet another weird poll, but it's still rather interesting! Anyway, Shun was voted #3 in this poll! He was behind Mizushima Hiro & Tsumabuki Satoshi.

Also, 'Dove' from Unilever Japan, conducted several polls for their project for "Good Skin Day", they asked several hundreds of men & women about which celebrities they think "has beautiful skin" & "faces without makeup" etc.
Shun was voted #10 in the poll asking for celebrities who have beautiful skin which you would like to have yourself! This poll was male & female combined, Shun was among the only 3 males who were voted into the top 10!
Also for another 'Dove' poll, asking which celebrity couple "profit" from each other, Shun & his girlfriend Yamada Yu were voted #5...they were tied with Eguchi Yosuke & Moritaka Chisato.

'Tenchijin' closes at 22.7% [24/11/09]:
The popular NHK taiga drama "Tenchijin," starring Satoshi Tsumabuki (28), ended its broadcast run this past Sunday. Ratings for the final episode were 22.7% in the Kanto region and 19.4% in the Kansai region. Overall, the series averaged 21.2% (20% in Kansai) over its 47 episodes.
The first episode of "Tenchijin" in January garnered 24.7% ratings in the Kanto area, outperforming last year's "Atsuhime," starring Aoi Miyazaki (23), which started out at 20.3%. However, in the end "Tenchijin" could not keep up, falling short of the 24.5% series average achieved by "Atsuhime."

Here's another ratings update as of Nov 18...
Tenchijin's second last episode; ep 46 on Sunday average rating was 21.7%, only 1 more ep to go!
While Tokyo DOGS ep 5 aired on Monday attracted a avg. rating of 17.1%; another rise from previous week! Yay! Hopefully the ratings will continue to rise!
Lastly, I've never mentioned this before, but all these ratings updates I post up are ratings from the kanto region of Japan only...does not include the kansai region. Normally ratings in the kansai region are higher than those from kanto.

gomen, I haven't been updating these past some days...anyways, here's the latest article about Shun:
'Pure' Oguri Shun [18/11/09]:
The day of the photo shooting, with the concept "Purity". The set up stage can easily be taken for Oguri Shun's backstage room. Behind him a pair of jeans is stuck to the wall, on each side there is a number of costumes hung up on hangers and shoes are scattered here and there. To his front stands a large mirror - a magic mirror to be precise. From the other side of the mirror the cameras are taking pictures of Oguri's expression, as if he not supposed to even notice. It is meant to be pure as such. After the photo shooting has been completed, it is time for the following interview.
We'd like to present you three questions out of it:
Q1: What part don't you like about yourself?
A: My nose.
Q2: How are you doing lately?
A: I think, I am drinking too much. (laughs)
Q3: What's the fun part about being an actor?
A: It's a good way to unfold oneself.
After that, to draw a certain reaction from Oguri, two surprise guests are making their appearance - two girls from an American school.
[It was a surprise, since they were my English teachers. I think it would have been different if it had been Leah Dizon (laughs). But it was cute! I still don't have any children myself, but my brother has gotten a son just recently. I really came to like children. Children are so simple, they don't think about so many things and unlike today's photo shooting, they are pure just like that. I like that!]

here's another ratings update as of Nov 13...
Tenchijin ep 45 average rating aired on Sunday was 22.2%; a 2.7% rise from last week's...2 more eps to air!
While Tokyo DOGS ep 4 avg. rating was 16.1% on Monday, thankfully the ratings had risen from last week! Though still not as high as for the first 2 eps...but I'm hoping the ratings will remain steady throughout the rest of its broadcast! *fingers crossed*

Actor Oguri Shun (26) attended the CM presentation for Sony Ericsson's 'Bravia Phone U1' waterproof mobile phone on the 11th.
During the product presentation at the assembly hall, Oguri, who was wearing a suit, was doused in a large amount of water. The CM needed 13 takes during filming. At every take, a huge amount of water was splashed on him. "There were about 5 or 6 pairs of suits that I wore. By the time I changed, the last suit would have dried already. It's the first time I've had to change my briefs so many times in a day. I was prepared with 10 pairs," he looked back with a smile.
The CM airs from the 12th onwards.
